Let me just start by saying this: I'm not a huge breakfast person but if I'm eating here, I'll quickly become one! If you're eating here on a Sunday morning, prepare for a wait. This place doesn't have a fancy layout but the food and service easily makes up for it. I absolutely LOVE their hash browns, they're perfectly crispy and full of flavor. They pair very nicely with some french toast and a large orange juice!
Also...try the fried Oreos. They're a life changer. -

Traveling through town and found this on Google. Good portions, reasonable price, great service

This is one of those diners that college kids devour comfort food and breakfast when they're hammered. That being said they had a surprisingly long kids menu and all the food was great.

Yuck! If you want to overpay for bad food and lousy service, feel free to patronize this establishment. Although the staff is friendly, they just can't seem to get it done. Jay served us and reminded us of his name EVERY time he let us down after promising drink refills and not delivering. There were four of us and we got to eat in shifts because the sheer number of small plates was overwhelming. How lucky is that? In any event, all of our meals managed to arrive at the table cold, even though at 2PM on a Tuesday, the place was empty. (Inside tip: Steer clear of the chicken tenders.) The good reviews must be pursuant to an evening of dining and the desire to have "drunk food."

An Athens classic is the Union Street Diner. It's always open. Literally always open. It's good for breakfast, lunch, or post vomit binges. There's all the classic diner slop.
Be prepared for the menu. It's big, really big seriously. So big you may start getting dizzy again after recovering from last night. It has all the classics for breakfast. This might be the busiest time. Of course it's always busy. The lunch menu has some good options. One is a vegetable burger. See, you can find something not greasy.
It's relatively clean for a campus greasy diner. Service can at times be slow. The wait usually isn't terrible.
